Day 1 - St. John’s
Upon arrival in St. John’s, transfer independently to your downtown hotel and check-in for a 2-night stay. The rest of the evening is free for you to explore this uniquely charming city.
Day 2 - St. John’s
Enjoy a tour of St. John’s and Cape Spear, the most easterly point in North America. Take in views from Cabot Tower and Signal Hill, visit Quidi Vidi Village and colourful Jelly Bean Row, and see Government House, the Roman Catholic Basilica and the shops and restaurants of the downtown core, while your local guide shares stories, history and humour.
Day 3 - Polar Latitudes Ocean Albatros
Set sail from St. John’s on a 7-night expedition around Newfoundland, the jewel of Maritime Canada. Enjoy guided walks, Zodiac landings, expert lectures, welcome and farewell cocktails, selected drinks with dinner, and world-class cuisine.
Day 4-9 - Newfoundland Circumnavigation
Explore Newfoundland and beyond, including the vibrant French territory of St. Pierre. Discover tranquil Garia Bay, the dramatic landscapes of Gros Morne National Park, and the remote Labrador mainland. Follow in Leif Erikson’s footsteps, watch giant icebergs drift past Twillingate, and return to lively St. John’s.
Day 10 - Halifax
Disembark Ocean Albatros today as you head to the airport in St. John’s ahead of your afternoon flight to Halifax. On arrival into Halifax, transfer independently to your hotel for a 2-night stay in the city. Spend the evening walking the waterfront and enjoy some local seafood.
Day 11 - Halifax
Most of today is free for you to do as you please in Halifax. Discover the city rich in maritime charm, history and culture. Visit the historic Citadel for panoramic harbour views, and explore the poignant Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21. In the late afternoon, a tour is included to Peggy’s Cove for sunset – watch the sun go down over the iconic Peggy’s Cove lighthouse and enjoy a scenic drive through Halifax’s illuminated downtown.
Day 12 - Departure
Your tour comes to an end as you check out of your hotel and make your way back to Halifax Airport.
