Discover the paint pot bright colours of the South Seas and you sail these idyllic islands. The warmth of the French Polynesian islanders, powder soft beaches on desert islands, lapped by the clearest of turquoise waters. End your travels in sunny California.

Day 1

Arrive in Papeete for an overnight stay, before joining your Paul Gauguin cruise.

Day 2

Tahiti is the largest of French Polynesia’s 118 islands and the perfect place to start a South Seas adventure. The Gauguin will be gently floating in the harbour, awaiting your arrival.

Day 3

This laid-back, secluded island hides her treasures well. Beyond the coastline, shrouded in rainforest, lie some of the best-preserved archaeological sites in French Polynesia.

Day 4

Today, a range of exciting excursions awaits. As does Moto Mahana, Paul Gauguin’s private islet. Swim in crystal clear waters, snorkel amongst the colourful marine life or simply laze on the beach with a drink from the floating bar in hand.

Day 5

Bora Bora, the island of dreams, like a Paul Gauguin painting in all its glorious technicolour. White beaches and warm waters frame the iconic views. Discover the underwater world with a Scuba dive, snorkel and spend a relaxing day soaking in the magical and unforgettable scenery.

Day 6

Bright and beautiful Moorea invites you to linger for a while with turquoise lagoons, soaring mountain peaks and palm fringed beaches. Take an optional dolphin-watching excursion with a marine biologist and meet the locals as you shop for handicrafts.

Day 7

Disembark the Gauguin this morning, before your onward flight to Los Angeles.

Day 8 - 10

On arrival in the City of Angels make your way to Santa Monica for a 3-night stay. This beachside city is very walkable, so you don’t need a car and offers plenty of entertainment, excellent dining and superb hotels. Walk to the end of the pier and you’ll find the sign that marks the end of the legendary road, Route 66.

Day 11

Depart Los Angeles for the UK
