Gateway to one of the worlds final frontiers, Anchorage is a vibrant city framed by mountain peaks and true wilderness. It’s the perfect introduction to Alaska.

Day 3 - Seward
Board the Coast Classic train for a scenic journey to Seward. From Anchorage the train winds along Turnagain Arm, before veering off into the backcountry wilderness. This beautiful stretch of the journey is why National Geographic regard this as one of the top 10 rail journeys in North America.

Day 4 - Silversea Cruise
Embark from Seward aboard the Silver Whisper.

Day 5 - Hubbard Glacier
Lying off the coast of Yakutat, the Hubbard Glacier is the largest in North America, with a calving front that spans more than 6 miles.

Day 6 - Juneau
As your ship glides into the narrow channel, Juneau appears like a secret whispered between sea and sky—an Alaskan capital unlike any other. Accessible only by water or air, this remote city feels like stepping into a storybook of glaciers, rainforest, and gold rush legends.

Day 7 - Haines
This is Alaska at its wildest. Explore a landscape of tangled waterways, delve into the Chilkat Tlingit culture and discover the abundant wildlife. This is where bears wade in rushing waters, and walruses and sea lions gaze watchfully from the river banks.

Day 8 - Sitka
Once part of the Russian empire, Sitka is a captivating port of call. This is where history and pure, natural beauty come together.

Day 9 - Wrangell
Sitting within the legendary Inside Passage, Wrangell is a highlight for all visitors to the region. The mighty Stikine River has been the lifebloodof this area for centuries. If the tides are friendly, explore the abundant waters of Ana Creek by jet boat.
Day 10 - Inside Passage
This stretch of the Inside passage calls to the adventurer in all of us. From the islands of the spirit bears to the snow-capped mountains, this wilderness is sheltered from the open furies of the Pacific Ocean and affords breathtaking scenery, vast swathes of rainforest and dramatic encounters with seabirds and bald eagles.

Day 11 - Vancouver

As you relax into your comfortable seat in the GoldLeaf bi-level domed carriage, sit back and follow the route of the Fraser River through forests and river canyons to Kamloops. Overnight in Kamloops.

Day 17 - Rocky Mountaineer to Jasper

Days 19 – 21 - Banff

This natural wonder of snow and ice is where you’ll step aboard an Ice Explorer for an interpretive adventure on to the Athabasca Glacier, and take a stroll on the glass-floored observation platform on the Glacier Skywalk.
